Antony Hung, head of Asia-Pacific wealth management at Bank of America Corp.’s Merrill Lynch unit, is retiring after almost 18 years with the company, according to an internal memo, Bloomberg reported. Bank of America Corp. British oil giant BP Plc said the cost of dealing with its oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico had risen to $8 billion. The company said it had paid out about $399 million in claims to those affected by the spill. BP plc (NYSE:BP, $36.57, +$0.41, 0.93%) jumped 0.90 percent to $36.90 on Friday morning pre-market trading session, even on Thursday, BP shares were up 0.93 percent, closed on $36.57.

Google and AOL announced Thursday that they have renewed another five years their search partnership, which was formed to provide Google’s search services to AOL’s content network and properties, in exchange for a revenue-sharing arrangement between both companies. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG, $463.18, +$2.85, 0.62%) rose 1.73 percent to $471.19 on Friday morning pre-market trading session, even on Thursday, shares of Google climbed 0.62 percent, closed on $463.18 and AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL, $23.05, +$0.15, 0.66%) jumped 0.09 percent to $23.07 on Friday morning pre-market trading session, even on Thursday, AOL shares were up 0.66 percent, closed on $23.05.

World’s largest soup-maker Campbell Soup Co. on Friday reported that its fourth-quarter profit advanced 64 percent, helped by cost cuts and sales of V8 juice drinks. Campbell Soup reported fourth-quarter net income rose to $113 million, or 33 cents per share, compared from $69 million, or 20 cents per share, in the same quarter a year earlier. Net sales fell about 1 percent to $1.52 billion from $1.53 billion. Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB, $37.32, +$0.35, 0.95%) fell 0.86 percent to $37.00 on Friday morning pre-market trading session, while on Thursday, shares of Campbell Soup rose 0.95 percent, closed on $37.32.

Gold producer Goldcorp Inc. (GG) on Friday that it has agreed to buy Andean Resources Ltd. for about 3.6 billion Canadian dollars ($3.42 billion). Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE:GG, $43.80, +$0.39, 0.90%) fell 1.71 percent to $43.05 on Friday morning pre-market trading session, while on Thursday, Goldcorp shares jumped 0.90 percent, closed on $43.80.
