Oil giant BP Plc said Wednesday it it would sell some of its Malaysian assets to Petronas, the country’s oil consortium, in a deal worth up to $411 million, seeking cash to help pay for the worst U.S. oil spill. BP plc (NYSE:BP, $34.83, -$0.43, -1.22%) rose 1.95 percent to $35.51 on Wednesday morning pre-market trading session, while on Tuesday, shares of BP fell 1.22 percent, closed on $34.83.

Citigroup Inc. reported on Wednesday that it plans to almost triple its workforce in China by hiring up to 12,000 people in the next three years. “were planning to triple their workforce in China, where they presently had 4,500 employees and thus would hire more people from the region than in any other Asia-Pacific market,” citigroup’s Co-Chief Executive Officer in China, Stephen Bird said in an interview with bloomberg. Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C, $3.71, +$0.04, 1.09%) jumped 1.11 percent to $3.75 on Wednesday morning pre-market trading session, even on Tuesday, Citigroup shares were up 1.09 percent, closed on $3.71.

Semiconductor testing equipment maker, FormFactor Inc. on Tuesday reported that it sees third-quarter revenue outlook to a range of $46 million to $48 million, instead of its previous guidance in the low- to mid-$50 millions. FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM, $7.00, -$0.24, -3.31%) rose 0.43 percent to $7.03 on Wednesday morning pre-market trading session, while on Tuesday, shares of FormFactor fell 3.31 percent, closed on $7.00.

Pennsylvania human resources firm Kenexa Corp. has agreed to acquire compensation and talent management solutions provider Salary.com for approximately $80 million in a cash-for-stock. The purchase price works out to $4.07 per share. Salary.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:SLRY, $2.86, +$0.04, 1.42%) jumped 43.36 percent to $4.10 on Wednesday morning pre-market trading session, even on Tuesday, Salary.com shares were up 1.42 percent, closed on $2.86.
